Manchester Met takes pride in its inclusive and supportive environment – we want to make sure that Higher Education is available to a wide range of students, and that we take every opportunity to help them to thrive. We recognise that it takes a bit longer for some students to find their feet at university than others – and sometimes the year of study doesn’t quite go as well they might expect. And sometimes we just need to reboot!
This Third Term activity is particularly aimed at students who may have been disappointed in how this recent academic year might have gone. It presents an opportunity to work intensively with our expert Academic Support Tutors and Peer Assisted Learning Leaders to review how you’ve done, and explore your feedback, to anticipate the next academic year and get help to ensure that you can systematically improve. We’re also building in lots of social activity, to support you if you feel like you’ve not always been able to take part in the university community. And, of course, if you are on courses eligible for Third Term credits, you will be able to use this to generate credit towards your next academic year!
The time commitment for this activity is: 10am-3pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, between 26 May and 4 June. You will be required to be on campus for the the delivery of these sessions, and to complete some independent activities prior to the course starting.
