This course is a practical guide for how to create and develop a start-up social enterprise – from deciding if it’s the right thing to do, through how to validate it, structure it, finance it, ensure it creates impact, and helping win support for it.
By the end of it, you should be able to:
- understand what a social enterprise is, and how it can be relevant to addressing identified social or other issues
- be able to validate a social enterprise idea by knowing how to undertake an initial feasibility study
- be able to identify how far a social enterprise should trade on its values and social purpose
- be able to ‘pitch’ a social enterprise idea to others for support
