Jonny Sadler is programme director of the Manchester Climate Change Agency, which advises and acts as a critical friend to the city and region in realising ambitious environmental targets. Action on food, which accounts for 20%-30% of the city’s carbon emissions, is one of the key strategic priorities. In support of this they have recently launched a collaborative project called FoodWave, which empowers young people to be active in the topic.
As part of the project, Jonny invites you to contribute, suggesting four themes: empowering and engaging young people and communities in the topic of food emissions and sustainability; how do we engage businesses to take positive action; what are the policy and city planning actions we could accelerate and, finally; any combination of the above!
